Perk Up a Plain Jane Apron in Vintage Style

Add a little kitsch to your apron!
Find or make an apron that you like.

Gather some vintage trims, brooches, buttons, whatever you like.
And don't forget a hankie for the pocket!
I chose reds and yellows to compliment the apron.

Decided where you want to add the trim or rick rack.
Stitch it on.
Add any buttons, pins or other embellishments.

Last but not least ...
Fold the hankie into the desired shape and put it in the pocket.
And there you have it, an adorable kitschy apron!

Tutu Bustle Bag

I wanted to share my latest creation with you.
It's sort of a cross between a bustle belt, a fanny pack and a tutu!
It's fluffy, feminine and lots of fun.

Here are some of my other bustle bags

A cute get well card for you to share.

It's so windy here today I feel just like this girl!

If you would like to print out the card below, right click on the image and save to your computer.
Print on 8.5 x 11 paper.
Cut away excess paper (keeping square).
With blank side facing up, fold from top to bottom, then left to right.
The finished card will be about 4" square.

Bustle Bag

I've been working on bustle bags . . .
What's a bustle bag?
It's a fanny pack that looks like a bustle when you wear it.

They are fun twist on the traditional fanny pack and look cute with both jeans and dresses.
They also look great with Lolita outfits.
I'm working on a few with eyelet ruffles too.

Hanging Out My Laundry in Winter

The dryer quit working and we haven't gotten a new one yet.
I've been hanging out my laundry this week on the few days that have been sunny.
I love using the clothesline in the Summer.
It's a bit harder in cold weather though.
Working around the Winter storms and cloudy days.
If you have a breeze, sun and low humidity your clothes should line dry even in cold Winter weather.
