I take a lot of pictures of items I'm listing in my Etsy shops, so I started putting the things I use as props most often in this small vintage suitcase. It helps make picture taking faster and more organized!
I filled it with some vintage linens, large pieces of antique lace trim, strings of pearls, rhinestones and glass beads. Also some pale pink silk flowers, vintage white gloves, baby shoes and buttons on old cards.
Anything that keeps me from being disorganized is a good
thing since I am not the most organized person on the planet! Besides it
gave me an excuse to keep this little travel case for myself instead of
selling it : )

I am really looking at your close up pictures! I didn't see the mirror in the lid of the case or the rhinestone necklace, so sweet! The case is adorable. that lace on the right is so exquisite! as well as the piece with the red embroidery on it! Your pictures are lovelky and you have some nice items in your shop. What a beaufiful vingette!

Thanks so much Betsy! The 2 big pieces of lace were once the hems of vintage dresses (they are still sewn together at the back seam). A thrifty housewife must have removed them for future use. I wish I could have seen those dresses. They must have been gorgeous!

If you have room for them, any old suitcase make great storage.
ReplyDeleteOh man, that's a GREAT idea! I use props too for my blog pics, but I gather them during the week and whatever inspires me goes on the table! BUT, you've given me an idea...a box or case would be so handy to keep some of the same things I tend to use over and over! I like my background boards...some of the easiest things I have to use, but I need some smalls that I can use too.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking to my party! I'm so happy you dropped by!
Blessings,
Doni
